    El rey Felipe IV paró a comer en La Puebla de Arganzón allá por un lejano domingo 13 de junio de 1660. Así lo señala Leonardo del Castillo en su obra "Viaje del Rey nuestro señor Don Felipe Cuarto el Grande a frontera de Francia. Funiones reales del Desposorio y Entregas de la señora infanta de España Doña María Teresa de Austria", publicado en Madrid en 1667. Dice literalmente:
    De Victoria vino á comer el Rey nuestro señor Domingo 13 de junio, a distancia de dos leguas y media (dexada ya algo atrás la jurisdicción de Guipuzcoa) a La Puebla de Arganzón, lugar de los condestables de Castilla, y haziendo por la tarde camino igual al de por la mañana, llegó a dormir a Miranda de Hebro.
